The co-Star has arrived!

I know it has been quite sometime since my last post, and I am very sorry for that. Life has been very crazy, but Galaxy Hunters has been chugging along even though there hasn't been so many posts. I promise a ton is to come though!

With the apology out of the way I would like to introduce to you the co-star of GH, she goes by "L". I finally am very happy with my concept sketch of her. I have been conceptualizing her for more then a year now, and I think now she really is there or very close to where I want her to be. It's funny, it really is like the Great Glenn Keane said, I am not quoting exact, but he said something close to, it's like the character has always been there, and it just took me the steps to find them. That is really how I have felt for L. She has been a journey, but when she decided to show herself, I said "There you're!" I really hope you guys like. I love comments, and please feel free to share and help Galaxy Hunters grow. Thank you so much!

Here's to 2016!

Hey everyone,

I would first and foremost like to apologize to everyone for the lack of posts in 2015. Last year I was faced with many adversities, and was one of the hardest years I have had to date. I lost a few things very special to me and it took it's toll, but 2016 brings a new year and new excitement. I am happy to say that the whole story has been all laid out, and I have been hard at work on designs of the worlds you all will be seeing in the graphic novel. I promise you all I will be posting much more frequent this year. This year will be the year of Galaxy Hunters for me. I hope you all are excited to take this exciting ride. I promise the fun is about to begin.

Story Coming Along

Hey everyone,

I have awesome news! I am very proud to say we have Galaxy Hunters' structure and story pretty much complete. I know its been a bit since my last post, but that was because we have been hard at work, planning out the story. We have a few things to still figure out, but now it's time to really dig in and start showing you all some art!

I thought it would be fitting to show this image of Wes working hard-- sitting at his desk, plotting his next move, because, well, that's what I have been doing.

I really hope you all enjoy the sketch, and I promise that the forthcoming updates will be a lot faster!

Thank you all so much for your support,

Galar

Hey everyone,
Today we're checking out an early concept of the criminal, Galar. This image was colored by the wonderful Kendrick Tu, and drawn by me, Josh Frost. Galar is a high-level member of Kang Tun's criminal organization. Wes has almost captured him on many occasions but he always manages to escape with his secrets.
I really wanted to go with a shifty, shady character; you take one look at him and you instantly know that is something up. Someone who definitely comes across like a sleaze ball.
This initial concept makes me very happy. I can't wait for you all to see the adventures in store for him and the many others in the Galaxy Hunters universe.

Gun Drawn

While working on the Galaxy Hunters story I decided to create a concept in which Wes was placed in a very red environment. I wanted to see if the opposites in color from the blue in his shirt would work well, or if it would clash too much. I am actually very happy with the way the image came out. I think it is important for Wes to work well in all lighting conditions, because on his quest for vengeance he will be exploring many planets, places and spaces that will be very diverse in color and climate and terrain. I really hope you enjoy the image. I would love to hear any feedback you might have. Thank you.

Federation Guard Concept by Guest Artist Kirk Parrish

Hey gang,
I am very pleased to show you this awesome Federation Guard concept drawn by great artist and friend, Kirk Parrish. Kirk completed this piece at a Seattle Sketchbomb event. A Galaxy Hunters drawing topic was brought up, and this is the amazing image Kirk came up with. I am always blown away when I see the imagination of others, especially when they're using their imagination for Galaxy Hunters. Seeing what Kirk thought GH needed and the difference in his vision from my own really helped me visualize the project in a different light. Kirk gave me permission to use anything I would like from his concept, and I am very honored by that. Thank you very much, Kirk. Please go support Kirk's art, and show him some love. He is a great artist and a really great guy.

We love to see your fan art for Galaxy Hunters. Until it gets overwhelming, I will feature your art on the Galaxy Hunters Facebook page, and even possibly on the blog if you decide you would like to support Galaxy Hunters with your artistic talents.

Confrontation

In the current development of the Galaxy Hunter's story I am in the processes of creating a story line where Wes is taken away from his assignment of gaining clues into Kang Tun's drug empire. Wes displeased confronts his lieutenant. This is a concept piece of that confrontation.

I am very happy with the outcome of this, and think it might make it into a panel for the book. I Would love to kow your thoughts.

Thank you
